Classic Spritz Cookies

I used this recipe to make some Christmas Cookies for my Christmas card workshop yesterday.  I have been looking for a good spritz cookie recipe for a while-even though they are all very similar, many taste like flour.  This one was pretty good, and the card makers were munching away all day!  Enjoy!

Classic Spritz Cookies:
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 Tbl milk
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder

Preheat oven to 375.  Thoroughly cream butter and sugar.  Add egg, milk, vanilla, and almond extract; beat well.  Stir together flour and baking powder; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing to make dough smooth.  Do not chill.  Shape dough into small logs and place in Cookie Master plus (a cookie press).  Using desired disk, press shapes onto ungreased cookie sheet.  Sprinkle with colored or chocolate jimmies.  Bake 10-12 minutes until lightly browned around the edges, remove cookies from the sheet.  Cool on rack.
Makes 7-8 dozen cookies.
