..........Back Country Layouts

BACK COUNTRY!!!  Our new-and quite fabulous-Idea Book goes live on May 1, and one of our new papers is Back Country.  This paper is bold and masculine, with trees and fishing flies, perfect for your outdoor layouts, camping, photos, or just of the men in your life!  We used Back Country Level 2, My Stickease Back Country, Rustic Alphabet (for the big "Fishin'" letters in the title), Olive ink, Brown Bag ink, Dimensional Elements In Color-Adventure, Outdoor Denim twill ribbon, and the stamp set Campin' Fever.  What, you don't recognize any of those items?  That's because they're all from the new Idea Book!

Would you like to make this two page layout, with enough paper, Stickease, and embellishments to make at least FOUR more pages?  Then please contact me at and ask about my new PLAY GROUP beginning this summer.  This Back Country layout is my featured layout for August, so stay tuned and get in touch with me to sign up for this great class.  Lots of cool little techniques that might be hard to see online.  Play Group is an awesome idea that I got at Calgary Regionals, and I can't wait to share it all with you.  Contact me today!  And don't forget to visit my website:

.....Calgary Regional Celebration

Here it is!  My big moment with Jeanette Lynton.  If you've read my blog before, then you know that she is the founder and CEO of Close to My Heart, and for me it was like meeting Oprah, but way better.  See how I'm grinning like a little kid?  Yeah, I totally embarrassed myself by grinning like a fool the whole time!  Oh, well, I don't care!  I got hugged by Jeanette!  She's a hugger, no shaking hands, and she is just so pleased to meet all of her consultants.  I was thrilled, of course.

We had so much fun at this Regional Celebration, and there were so many hints about what is coming for Close to My Heart.  REVOLUTIONARY, was the word they used.  I cannot wait to see what happens!

One new idea I got from going all the way to the Canadian Rockies was play groups.  I will be starting this in  the VERY near future, so be sure to sign up for my email list and tell me who you are if you are interested in learning about this.  If you are already my customer, don't worry, you'll find out about this!

One of my favorite parts of being a consultant is traveling to corporate events like this one to become rejuvenated, motivated, and learn fresh new ideas to bring home to all of you.  I was so excited that I couldn't sleep at night!  The next event I am planning on going to is Convention 2010 in Washington, D.C.  I cannot wait for that!  I want to bring my whole team!  Want to join me?  I think you know what you need to do!!!

.......My baby turns FIVE tomorrow!!!

Here's my Little Miss America!  She turns FIVE tomorrow, which I totally cannot believe.  I watch her getting more and more independent every day, but still needing her blankie at night.  She can stand on her head, do cartwheels and hand stands, but still cuddles with me.  She can read and do some basic math, she likes to play hide and seek and play tricks on us, and more often than not I find her snuggled up against me in the morning in my bed.

My Margaret Guinivere is my little treasure and she goes to kindergarten in September.  I am so not ready for that!

Out of my two kids, hers was the harder birth.  She was born with her cord wrapped around her neck and only got a 5 on her one minute apgar.  But, the doctors did their magic and she was a 9 on her 5 minute apgar.  I remember that day so incredibly well, and I am currently making some pages documenting the details of that wonderfully difficult birth, using CTMH's paper pack Unforgettable. It's going to be full of private tags with her story written on them so she can read all about herself when she's bigger.

Happy Birthday, my Maggie!!!

.............Happy Easter!

Here are my two adorable kids on Easter!  We went to see the Bunny in Surf City at the Fire House and it was a cute girl Bunny.  Nate wanted no part of the Bunny this year!  I think it was because he was looking around for the Bunny, and she was right behind him, so he got spooked and then really kept his eye on her.  Maggie is not afraid of characters-at amusement parks she nearly knocks them down when she hugs them!  She and Santa also get along very well.  So she went right over to the Bunny and gave her a big hug.

The kids did a great job finding their eggs, although there is still one REAL egg on the loose!  We dyed 3 1/2 dozen eggs but the Bunny hid that last one really well.  I can't imagine where it is!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and took lots of pictures!  I ONLY took 285!!!  LOL!

..........................Unforgettable Workshop

This is my workshop for the month of April:  Unforgettable!!  Visit my website to see the other four pages that I created from this paper pack and that you can make using this paper pack and the Cherish CTMH How-To book.  I call it my recipe book!  My website address is

This workshop is set for April 19th at 1:30 pm.

I added some more embellishments after I took the photos:  bigger brads, brads, and bitty brads!  I also used a nail head (like a big, flat brad with little sharp prongs on the back, I am not sure what they're called) in the center of the big flower on the right hand page.

I made these while vendoring a crop in Glassboro NJ.  I had a great time with Stacey, Christine, Tracy, Maureen, and all the girls (and one guy!).  I was busy all day but did get a chance to squeeze out EIGHT layouts!  I met so many wonderful people and had so many laughs.  I hope to do it again soon!
