Why I scrapbook

How can I not scrapbook this face????

STUDIO J

This is a photo of my project on CTMH's new online scrapping program, Studio J.  THIS IS AWESOME!!! I made this two page layout about my husband and I on our cruise in about 15 minutes.  It wouldn't have taken that long except I had to keep stopping to tend to the kids!

It's a very simple program:  upload photos; choose paper kit; choose layout design; add photos to design, which can be resized within the photo wells; and finish with My Stickease, embellishments such as ribbon, buttons, metal accents, and you can also do some paper distressing at this stage, and change paper colors if you want to.  The final step is to save, give final approval, and purchase your layout if you choose.

It's very intuitive, so for beginner online scrappers, you have help built into the program.  I am a beginner online scrapper, and I found it very easy to figure out and to use.

While I will never stop loving my paper and inks, I am excited about the prospects of this program.  First, it's free until I buy the layouts.  Second, I can use it from any computer if my photos are uploaded already or stored in something like Snapfish.  Third, I can scrap in my living room in my recliner!  Fourth, I can whip out layouts of events that either have lots of photos, or make duplicate layouts for each child.  I will continue to create with paper and inks, and now I can supplement with Studio J!

More Felicity...

I can't stop playing with this month's special promotion-Felicity!  The papers are so pretty, and can be super feminine or masculine, and the stamp set is cool.  I have used the stamp set a LOT since receiving it, with all different papers and projects!

The layout above has tons of bling!  I used sparkles all over the flourish and on the flowers, which I colored with markers and the blending pen.

Above is a close up of the flourish with sparkles.  I cut out the flowers and raised them up using foam tape, which is one of my most favorite tools!  I use tons of it!

This month all new consultants receive Felicity for FREE in the new consultant kit, which to me is an awesome little present inside!  I am looking for part time/full time/hobbyists/business people to join my team.  The new consultant kit is $99, and contains everything you need to start a business or amp up your personal scrapping supplies!  Plus, I will give you more idea books if you are going to sell to friends and family (these are ten free books in addition to the ten you get in your kit), plus I also gift you the Wishes Card Confidence program, our newest (and most fabulous) card making book.  So that's an additional $70 for free with your kit, which is already chock full of great products at a substantial discount!

To join my team, simply click on the photo of the consultant kit above.  Fill out the information page, submit your payment, and voila!  You are a consultant!  It's so much fun and where else can you get a consistent discount on everything you want to buy and make money at the same time??  Email me if you want more information!

January Stamp of the Month Artwork

Ok, I have been WAITING and waiting for the mail lady to come by with this Priority Mail package!  I participate in a consultant only swap called the Awesome Swap!  Each month I make 7 cards using the month's SOTM and send it off to Hawaii, where a very talented lady named Sue swaps them out with other consultants and sends me a package with 7 brand new cards also using the stamp of the month.  It's a great way to get some fabulous new ideas!  I often find myself in my "box", where I have one way of looking at something and just can't see another way until I see someone else's ideas.  Each card will show who created it.  These ladies are very talented!  Enjoy!

Washington DC here I come! Well, in July. :)

I love Close to My Heart. I'm sure you have figured that out by now, but I really do!  I registered today for the company's convention that will take place in July 2010.  Some of my team members are coming this year too, and I am so excited to share this with them!  They are excited and I am excited:  I don't know how we're going to wait for July!

So what is so exciting about convention?  So many things.  Corporate plans for a long time to WOW us and teach us how to make our businesses or hobbies what we want.  They plan classes on how to take better photographs, how to train your team so they can grow their own businesses, how to be an effective leader, and most fun of all, how to CREATE with all brand new products that won't be available to anyone else until September!  Jeanette Lynton, the creator and CEO of CTMH, is there every day to introduce new products, give us behind the scenes information about where the company is headed, and teach us new ways to use our products.

I've been to teacher conventions before....and CTMH is NO comparison.  CTMH is FUN, FRIENDLY, INFORMATIVE, GENEROUS, and EXCITING!  No teacher convention that I've been to fills any of those adjectives.  Yes we pay a registration fee, but the amount of product EXCEEDS that registration fee!  I am just so darn excited I can hardly wait for July!

If you think this sounds like something you'd like to do, well, I think you know what to do, right?  SIGN UP!
