Footloose & Fancy Free Spray Inking Workshop

I just got home from the Somerset NJ Expo and had a great time! This year I was asked to teach a workshop and of course I chose to use Footloose--my favorite pack of paper from the current catalog. I have some of these kits left over and am offering them as a kit to GO for you! Everything is included (pre-cut paper, instructions, spray inking pen filled with water/lagoon re-inker/pearl paint, 12" Flip Flaps, FULL Pack of Footloose Complements, and two Memory Protectors) for $30. You can email me and order your kit, and we can arrange delivery.  I will post close up photos asap--too tired to do it tonight!

Footloose: Streamlined Scrappin' Club

On July 20th my Club will meet again to create three 2-page layouts using the fabulous Footloose kit! Above is the featured layout. I will take photos of the other two layouts and post them tomorrow. Below is the Workshop on the Go kit--so you can see the fabulous sea creature stamp set!! I have already used mine many many times--I love being able to make the creatures any colors I want with inks to match what I am working on.

Each person at club in July will also receive these FABULOUS Complements Footlose chipboard shapes:

So if you are not a stamper, you will still get cool sea creatures to use on your layouts. Awesome, right??  RSVP by July 1 if you are coming, and I need your payment in advance so I can order your kit. We're getting kind of full at the table for July--we might need to spread out to TWO tables!!! Love my club ladies!

Stampaganza Continues!! Three of my favorite stamp sets

Stampaganza continues through the end of June!! Make sure you take advantage of this wonderful special:  Buy two stamp sets, get the third for free (the lowest priced stamp set is the free one). You can take advantage of this special as many times as you want!!! All stamp sets from the current Idea Book and the Fall/Winter 2011-2012 Idea Book are available. It's a GREAT time to get those sets you've had your eye on!

Some of my FAVORITE stamp sets are the ones I can use for many different purposes. I always try to purchase sets that I can use on cards, layouts, as backgrounds or as the focal point. To me, that's the best use of my money. I always buy the background sets, and two of my favorites are below:

D1508: Diverse Backgrounds

D1477: Universal Backgounds

Because our stamps are clear and so are our blocks, you can line up our stamps to create a larger background. If you're not very good at that yet (practice first before putting it on your project) you can always hide your mismatches with other elements. I know I have done that many times!

And another favorite type of stamp is flourishes--you can use them on your base page to add some interest to another element, use them to frame a title, and so much more!

C1466: Instant Memories

If I were ordering these today, I would pay for the two background sets and get the flourish set for free!! Begin your shopping NOW!!!  www.jennifercox.ctmh.com

Convention Studio J Layouts!!

Part of my Close to My Heart Convention 2012 registration earned me FIVE FREE Studio J layouts! Just like when I went to the NJ Leadershare, CTMH emailed me detailed instructions on how to complete the five layouts. I could choose to copy their designs exactly or change them as I wanted to. The first layout above I changed almost completely, color-wise at least, so that is why there aren't any embellishments. Studio J allows you to change all the colors of the papers, but not the colors of the Stickease that go with the kit, so I will just add my own embellishments when I get the actual layout.
This kit is actually Mischief, a Fall/Halloween kit that I changed to lagoon and baby pink as per the CTMH instructions. Because my photos feature my awesome trip to meet The Bloggess, I will again add my own embellishments when I get the layout.
This one is one of my favorites because it features my little guy with my big guy, and it makes me so happy to see them playing together! This kit is called Lucky, and I changed the colors to black, white, grey wool, and cranberry--so the embellishments again didn't match! I could add brads, buttons, or ribbons and get the colors I wanted, but I again opted to add embellishments when I get the layout.
This one also features photos from my trip to meet the Bloggess, but tells more of the story of my sister and my friend Maureen meeting and how much fun we all had together.
And this one features my little guy again, and just how awesome he is!! My Leadershare layouts really used a lot of photos of Maggie, so Nate needed some layouts of him!!

Jenny Lawson, Rosie O'Donnell, and Beyonce

My sister, my friend and I traveled up to Montclair NJ yesterday to meet one of our favorite authors, Jenny Lawson. She writes the funniest blog, called The Bloggess, and she also wrote a book called Let's Pretend This Never Happened. It was such an honor to meet her, and as a special bonus, her new friend Rosie O'Donnell came along to the reading!!  Jenny shared one of her fabulous stories about her home colon cleanse gone horribly wrong, answered questions, then signed our books. And my metal rooster, whose name is Beyonce because Jenny's 5 foot tall metal rooster is named Beyonce. It was beyond fabulous and one of my favorite days ever!!

You NEED to read this book-amazingly funny and AWESOME!

So many happy things going on...

Hi!! I'm so sorry for not posting much artwork of my own lately--but I have been busy being HAPPY! It's been a rough year, and happiness has come into my life and I am enjoying every second!!
Pemberley Club is next week, June 15th, at 7 pm. Each of my ladies is making these three layouts, and I was able to get them each the Pemberley My Stickease too! Love that when it works out!!

Featured layout--all those shapes will be cut out ahead of time!

Second layout-close up of that flower below

I cut this large flower out of extra B&T and then used my craft knife to cut out petals for dimension.

Third layout and it's my favorite one! Inspired by a layout I saw on Pinterest!

Also, the Expo is getting closer and closer!! I can't post a full picture of my workshop class, Footloose and Fancy Free Spray Inking, but here is a sneak peek:

You'll have to come to the Expo on June 29th and June 30th to see the whole thing!! To register for my class, please go to http://www.scrapbookexpo.com/NJ-12/Workshops.asp. Every person in my workshop gets their own full package of Footloose Compliments, a spray pen, flip flaps, and so much more!! Remember to come visit me at the booth as well!!!
