Here's how it works: For $20, you will receive a Kit containing a full level 2 paper pack (totally redesigned and fabulous), a full color brochure featuring a BRAND NEW layout design, extra card stock, and cutting guides for an additional layout, a set of cards, and/or a bonus project depending on the month! Each month you will also have access to brand new embellishments like before, as well as stamp sets that are also brand new! You DO NOT have to place an order! Your kit is your order! Of course, you can place additional orders if you wish, but that is up to you.
What if you can't make it but want to participate? Easy! Order your kit and it will come to you via mail and you can follow the guide to make the layouts.
How many layouts will I make each month? You can make BOTH 2-page layouts at club! Or you can make one and go. Or make one layout and work on cards. It's up to you. If you do make it to club each month, and make both layouts each time, you will have completed TWENTY FOUR Layouts in a year! Talk about getting caught up!
Do I have to order in advance to come to club? YES. This is a change but a necessary one. Because you are now getting a FULL paper pack each month, I need to know by the FIRST of each month who is coming. If you order your kit but are unable to come after all, it is really easy to get your kit to you and you will be able to complete it on your own.
Why the change in materials? Close to My Heart has redesigned our paper packs, eliminating the Level 1 kits and making our level 2 packs much more affordable and with less waste! Before, there was SO MUCH paper in the level 2s that we weren't going to use in club that I didn't want to use them. Level 2 packs now come with 6 sheets of our new heavier weight patterned paper and fewer sheets of card stock, for a new price of $9.95. This means we can use some of the patterned paper as bases when we want! The lower price also means that I can add more bonus project materials and still have club be an affordable way for you to get more Scrappin' done!
When will this change take effect? The Streamlined Scrappin' Club begins in August 2011, with the new Fall/Winter Idea Book. We are beginning with Typeset!
I want more "stuff" in my kit. Is that an option? YES! You can upgrade your Basic Kit to the full Workshop on the Go for just $9.95 more (plus S&H). This option includes the full Level 2 pack, the brochure, the extra card stock, PLUS a C-size stamp set (used to be a B-size), embellishments, and a featured tool! Yowza! All you need to do is tell me you want the WOTG kit instead of the basic kit and I will order it for you.
Where can I see the Project List of what to order if I'm not at club the previous month? You can see a Project List HERE on this tab every month. Do not be alarmed at the Project List! I will simply list every single thing used to make the projects that we are making--BUT you probably already have many tools in your stash, or can use something else. The ONLY thing you need to buy to play each month is The BASIC KIT for $20! At my house you will continue to be able to use all of my tools, inks, stamp sets, etc, just like before.
I don't live near you. Can I still participate by mail? YES! Simply email me your order (Basic Kit, WOTG, etc.) plus payment information (credit card info) and I will take care of it for you.

OCTOBER'S CLUB LAYOUT: MISCHIEF PAPER PACK

Below is the second layout option--I haven't made my version yet but will post that when I do.
My version--I added some cocoa brown card stock instead of the colonial white, and the leaves are cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge, and stamped with the coordinating stamp set that comes with the cartridge!
These leaves were done the same way--Sunset + Barn Red, Sunset + Olive, and Honey + Sunset. This gives the leaves dimension and texture, and keeps them from looking flat and boring. Leaves in nature are not all one color if you look at them closely--there are always variations to the color. Try using a couple of different oranges to stamp leaves, or yellows, or greens--whatever your trees turn in your area. Just remember to clean the stamps in between inkings to keep from getting your inks muddy, and ALWAYS start with the LIGHTEST ink color and roll in the DARKER color. Then you won't get dark ink on your light inks.
